On Sunday, August 17, 2025, Provino Baja California will host the highly anticipated XXXV Paella Contest, a vibrant culinary and wine celebration that brings together top regional talent in a festive, family-friendly setting. The event will take place at Viña de Liceaga Winery, Ensenada, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
🍷 Over 90 Paella Teams and 80 Wineries in One Place
This year’s contest features more than 90 teams competing for the title of best paella. Each team will offer samples of their creations to attendees, showcasing a wide range of flavors, ingredients, and culinary styles.
In addition, 80 Baja California wineries will be present, offering tastings of over 160 wine labels, making this one of the region’s most iconic wine tourism events.
🎶 Live Music and a Family-Friendly Atmosphere
The Paella Contest also includes a live music program to enhance the culinary and wine experience, creating a festive atmosphere perfect for sharing with friends and family. Children under 12 enter for free, making it an ideal outing for all ages.
